Patchwork and Quilting  |  February 2016
With February being the month of love we have a couple of heart projects for you; Drunken Hearts shows you that machine piecing curves needn’t be that scary while Nine Patch Hearts is a cosy wool quilt. If you were lucky enough for Santa to bring you a new sewing machine for Christmas, you might like to practice using all the decorative stitches on it with the Angel Fish Mini Quilt. More curves with the Donut Cushion while the Summer Fruits Table Runner has foundation pieced segments. Tablet Jazz is a stylish tablet cover for you and we make a further four blocks in our mini-series project, Blooming Blocks. The spring quilt show season is almost upon us so we have a preview of the Grosvenor Spring Shows. We went shopping to the Quilter’s Trading Post and we take a look the Festival of the Broken Needle in Japan, and finally a cautionary tale about never throwing away your scraps in Leftovers; you never know when they will come in useful!
