Parchment Craft  |  May 2012
This month we respond to readers’ requests to provide more designs which can be produced in one or two short parching sessions and are more simplistic. With that in mind, well-liked designer Dorothy Holness has produced a very feminine card (A Simple Start, Page 8), which we believe will instantly demand your attention. There are many ways you can re-create Dorothy’s design, you could if you choose to, follow the pattern and use your embossing skills or add some perforation marks to the trellis or go all out and use complimentary colours in one of the many mediums that are available.
Apart from a wide range of cards and designs there’s plenty of technique content in the May issue of Parchment Craft magazine. Josie Davidson’s Back to Basics feature (Page 42) unravels the principles of embossing for beginners, whilst Christine Coleman demonstrates the perfect method for colouring in a sweet pea using coloured pencils (Page 15).
