Triumph World Magazine Craig Revel Horwood and his Stag Vorige editie

I hope we can all agree that every Standard or
Triumph is special in its own way,
particularly the ones that we own! Perhaps
that is why we tend to take so many pictures
of them – no run is complete unless it is
captured on camera, and no matter how scenic the
location, somehow our cars always seem to muscle
into the foreground of the pictures we take.
In many ways, this is not surprising. After all, we
have usually lavished so much care and attention on
our cars that they are like one of the family, and as
such they belong in the family album. No doubt
you have a few Triumph photos of your own that
you feel are a little bit special? Perhaps it’s because of
the way they capture the light, or the stunning
background, or simply because you chanced upon a
famous car or an eye-catching scene.
If so, then we want to see them and you could not
only get to share them in print, but also win a year’s
free subscription to Triumph World in our new
Photo Competition. Turn to p64 of this issue and
you’ll see full details of how to enter, as well as some
examples of the kind of image we are looking for.
Just remember that you don’t have to be a
professional to enter, we are simply looking for good
images that have a story to tell. And they don’t have
to be brand new either – the background and the
colouring of old images often have a magic all their
own, so you may already have those winning snaps
sitting in your photograph album.
