November Issue 189 Now On Sale!

From Wexford to Donegal, Carlisle to Yorkshire, plus island events on Mull, Jersey and the Isle of Man, we have it all covered in our November edition of Pacenotes Rally Magazine!

A number of new champions were crowned before our latest edition hit the shelves. They include Jonny Greer and Kirsty Riddick, who won their second Northern Ireland title. Jason Pritchard and Phil Clarke completed a hat-trick of Asphalt Championship titles with their victory at the Cheviot while Ben Friend and Cliffy Simmons won the British Historic Championship.

In addition to our usual selection of reports, we have a couple of special features that will please the BMW fanatics out there. Jamie Arkle has turned back the clock to remember the magnificent BMW M1 rally car. The 430bhp monster definitely had the looks but its success on the stages failed to live up to expectations. Launched around the same time as the Lancia 037, we take a look back at some of those golden days.

Sticking with the BMW theme, we delved into our archive and found a special Prodrive BMW M3. The ex-Austin MacHale Xtravision car has an interesting history and was completely restored to its former Prodrive glory.

Also in Ireland, we take a look back at the 1995 Irish Tarmac Rally Championship – a hugely competitive season that saw Frank Meagher secure the ultimate prize aboard his Ford Escort Cosworth. It’s another jammed edition so make sure you don’t miss it!
