The January 2020 issue of Diesel Car & Eco Car isn’t just the first issue of a new year, but also a new decade, too, and the new Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class sits proudly on the cover. We’ve also got the first photographs of the Vauxhall Insignia facelift, and in Eco Car, there’s all the facts on the Audi e-tron Sportback and the totally bonkers Tesla Cybertruck. We also feature the Toyota RAV4 plug-in hybrid, the updated Mitsubishi Mirage, have spyshots of the upcoming BMW i4 and feature the Lexus UX 300e and beautiful LC Convertible.

This month’s twin test features a pair of premium hatchbacks, as the BMW 1 Series is up against the Mercedes-Benz A-Class. We’ve also tested the eighth-generation Volkswagen Golf, the new BMW 8 Series Gran Coupé and the cracking new Peugeot 2008, as well as the monstrous Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class. Audi’s smooth and refined S6 TDI quattro makes an appearance, too, alongside the DS 7 Crossback E-Tense 4X4, the Mazda CX-30 and the SEAT Mii Electric, which are featured in Eco Car.
