1985 Donruss Baseball is the sleek counterpart to Topps’ sandwich board flash and Fleer’s low-key charm. It’s not one of the most famous sets of the decade, but it gets the job done. Perhaps its greatest contribution is the introduction of a logo that’s gone on to be synonymous with the brand.
The 1985 Donruss Baseball checklist follows a similar path as the brand’s previous three years. Headlining the set are Rookie Cards of Roger Clemens, Dwight Gooden and Kirby Puckett.
After that are several other notable RCs like Eric Davis, Orel Hershiser, Alvin Davis and Mark Gubiza. They might not carry significant values today, but all were great at some point in the decade.
