EMBRAER SHRUGGED off supply chain delays to deliver 181 aircraft in 2023, an increase of 13% compared to 2022, when the company delivered 160 airframes. Supply of the E-Jet family increased 12% year-on-year to 64 aircraft in 2023, with the latest E2 variant more than doubling from 19 aircraft in 2022 to 39 in 2023. This was driven by Canada’s Porter Airlines, which placed a firm order for 25 Embraer E195-E2 passenger jets, adding to their existing firm order for 50 aircraft, in November last year. The company’s order backlog for the E190-E2 and E195-E2 totals 16 and 180, respectively. For the latter, airlines and lessors including Azul (51), Porter (46), AerCap (28), Azorra (18), Aircastle (9), Air Peace (8), Binter Canarias (7), Salam Air (6), Luxair (4), and ICBC (3) are awaiting deliveries. Meanwhile, the backlog list for the E190-E2 includes Azorra (13), Aircastle (2) and Air Kiribati (1).
