It was the aptly named For Certain who proved the best of JP Sheffield’s quartet of rides, to top the line of this year’s five-year-olds. The Irish-bred bay, by the former international jumper Lux Z, performed strongly in every section. He was produced by Vere and Clea Phillipps before being acquired by JP earlier in the year. “He is very straightforward, has all the attributes and, I hope, is a long-term ride for me,” said JP.
