Patchwork and Quilting  |  September 2016
We continue our gentle build up to Christmas with the wonderful Scandi 3 Quilt from Makower. These Scandinavian fabric collections are proving to be really popular. Our cover quilt, Posies a Plenty, combines several techniques; piecing, appliqué and making 3D flowers. Mini quilts can be quick makes and the Black and White Town House Quilts are made with fusible appliqué. Make one or all three! Chris Hammacott has designed a couple of wonderful Bird Cushions which also tempt you to try out fabric painting. Or if your stash is starting to get out of control, the Scrappy Strip Quilt will help make a dent in it (we hope!). We also make the final block in our Mystery Quilt and complete the quilt. We take a look at the upcoming quilt collections on display at the Grosvenor Autumn Shows and we hear about The Patchwork Chair, Lauren Allen’s final piece for her degree show.
