Patchwork and Quilting  |  May 2016
This month we have some great projects to inspire you! Pinwheel Circles makes piecing curved blocks a doddle with appliqué while Taking a Liberty with Tweed also combines appliqué and piecing in a more traditional way but also mixes using Liberty fabrics with tweed. Turquoise Kisses is a more contemporary, yet traditionally pieced quilt and the Radiance Quilt showcases a new collection from Makower to great effect. The Supanova Cushion is a stylish foundation pieced cushion and we complete the Trinkets quilt. We take a look back at a couple of quilt shows this month. Quiltfest in Llangollen has been running for fifteen years now and shows quilt in a gallery setting while The Quilting Show in Glasgow is a new show inspiring quilters north of the border. If you have ever found an antique quilt and wondered about its history, Marchant Grove reveals its story to us and we also take a look at Sindhi Quilts in India. Enjoy the issue!
