Tabletop Gaming Magazine April 2020 [#41] Edición anterior

English
83 Reseñas   •  English   •   Hobbies & Crafts (Collecting)
Only €7,99
Issue 41 includes:
Bonus artwork from Oath: Chronicles of Empire and Exile and MÖRK BORG
The MÖRK BORG soundtrack and character sheets
Flyin’ Goblin – watch a snippet of the high flying action

Plus a great selection of features buzzing with really smart ideas from really smart people, including:
Oath – We talk to Cole Wehrle about his approach to creating a legacy game that you didn’t have to destroy while playing. Taking an entirely different and somewhat forgotten path in gaming, Cole has found an elegant answer to the question of how games should contain their physicality. It’s also about toppling the empire every generation and leaving a changed board state for the rest, so that’s fun!

MÖRK BORG – It’s the end of the world as we know it, and we’re having a good time in this doom-laden RPG. We talk to the game’s creators about their vision for the game, and whether you should really burn the book when you’re finished with it.

Solo Games Guide – We talk you through how to get into solo gaming, and what games you should get started with. Great for if you’re stuck at home, or just need some ‘me’ time.

Cartography Games – Here be dragons, and here be a swamp, and here be a forest of carnivorous pineapples… it’s really up to you when it comes to building a world with these map-making games. Played either in collaborative groups, or in a solo setting, they’re a fun way to flex your creative muscles.

Pocket Games from HELVETIQ – We talk to the Swiss publisher about their range of small-box games that are universally cleverer than they look by half!

We’re also looking at being a spy and not getting caught in Codenames for All the Jahres, and find out How We Made Tzolk’in – which is sure to get your cogs turning.

And of course, we’ve reviewed a ton of games!

Waste of 6$ - if you're here for painting tips.

Bought this for the Dungeon Depths terrain guide; the site makes it look like it'll be a step by step to really making these pop, but it turns out to be barely 4 pages of 3 or 4 progression images and barely a sentence of guide for each. Not only this, but there's barely a discussion of most of the terrain, getting the OSL shown on the main pic, or really anything else.

Gave it a 3 cuz it'd be unfair to give it a 1 since I only cared about the painting bits.

Fantastic magazine

There are so few good tabletop gaming magazines being published today, which is strange, considering the resurgence in traditional gaming. Aside from the 3 popular miniature war gaming magazines, there's a serious lack of magazine style content for serious board gamers. So it was with much anticipation that I looked forward to the publication of Tabletop Gaming last year, which promised broad coverage of ALL types of tabletop games (board, card, minis games). It has not disappointed. Besides lavish visuals, the magazine offers dozens of quick-hitting game reviews, combined with some in-depth interviews of companies and game designers, and features on hot games. It's a fun read and highly recommended. I've just re-upped my subscription for another year. Keep up the good work guys! Revisado 06 junio 2016
