Popular Patchwork Magazine  |  March 2015
What could be finer, this spring, than kitting out your home with a profusion of quilted delights? We have gorgeous projects to suit all our readers’ homes this issue, including wall hangings, bed runners, table runners, cushions and throws. To start us off, Angela Huddart makes bedtime more enticing with her charming Stonehenge Bed Runner. Stuart Hillard uses the traditional symbol of welcome and hospitality to create a fun, fast and fusible wall hanging project in Welcome Home. In Home Sweet Home, Lynne Goldsworthy uses Makower UK Vintage fabrics to create a wonderfully shabby chic wall hanging and cushion duo. If the boho look is your thing, why not try Debbie von Grabler-Crozier’s Scrappy Steps, using your stash and the Courthouse Steps block. In Flamenco Dancer, Esther Hamm shows us how to make a striking appliqué and foundation pieced wall adornment, inspired by Come Dancing. If you’ve been following Mandy Munroe’s Sew Happy Quilt-Along, we’re looking at part 3 this issue; blocks 6 & 7 and borders 1 & 2. This issue’s stunning cover project is Katharine Guerrier’s Star-Struck Table Runner; it’s a perfect way to liven up any table. Sally Ablett showcases the latest Lewis & Irene fabrics in Make a Wish, and finally in projects, Regan Purcell guides us through the many techniques covered in the first part of her Folded Flowers Sampler.
