Patchwork and Quilting  |  January 2016
So what projects do we have to kick start 2016? Our cover quilt, the Disappearing Nine Patch Quillow is an easy pieced quilt, fold it up and it becomes a cushion or ‘quillow’. We have a short series quilt called Blooming Blocks, which takes you through a variety of techniques. The Owl Cushion and Rocket Man Quilt both combine piecing with appliqué. If you need to make a last minute quilting gift for a friend then the Sewing Accessories project is for you, while the Tweed Bag is a simple appliqué bag to make if you are new to bag making. We also take a look at the Fabric of India exhibition, which can be seen at the V&A Museum in London. We Meet Cathy Miller, also known as The Singing Quilter and see what fun teams of quilters had at the Festival of Quilts last summer in the Game of Quilts.
