With the busiest time for card making just around the corner, take a quick break before the rush to produce Alison Yeates' Celebration Shaker Card. It features a beautifully crafted lace edge plus confetti heart inserts which once shaken adds a touch of sparkle to the design.
Although mainly based around pencil colouring, a project by Dorothy Holness demonstrates how effective embossing can be. Entitled Bird in the Bush (Page 16) the completed design is intended as a picture for framing, but shows that patterns need not be used just as they are supplied. In this instance, two additional and smaller ideas are provided; with both patterns being taken from the main image and then reversed.
