North Yorkshire Open Studio
Each summer in June, North Yorkshire artists open their studios for the North Yorkshire Open Studio event (NYOS) and this year they will be kicking off the event with an exhibition at the Inspired by…Gallery at Danby Lodge National Park Centre, near Whitby. The exhibition, which runs until 12 May, will feature work by many of the artists taking part in this year’s open studios and visitors will be invited to vote for their favourite two and three-dimensional artist as part of an Audience Choice Award, sponsored by the gallery. Two winners will receive £200 towards furthering their art practice. The open studio weekends, on 1 and 2 June and 8 and 9 June, will feature a record 170 artists.
