GT Porsche  |  July 2012
In the July 2012 edition we start a new series: The Turbo Files. Over the next six issues we'll be driving and profiling every generation of the 911 Turbo, from the very first 930 through to the latest Gen-2 997 Turbo S.
We start with the original 930 in this issue; a car that played a significant role in Porsche becoming a serious player in the supercar stakes. In 2012, the 930 is still an arresting sight and a thrilling drive, in 1974 it must have felt like it was from another planet.
We have also driven TechArt's final hurrah to the 997; the GTStreet R and its new 991 project this month. Other highlights include taking a look at two closely-related 911s that command very different values and we also examine how much Porsche £10,000 buys you.
Along with all this, we welcome a 996.2 GT3 and a 924 S to our long-term fleet, take a look at DFI and explain what the EU tyre labelling regulations mean to Porsche drivers.
Enjoy the issue!
