Flora International

Summer 24 Hello and welcome to our brand new issue full of summery gorgeousness. First of all, I want to start by saying how delighted we were to have received so many entries for our Wedding Magic competition — absolutely brilliant. Entries came not only from the UK and Europe but from the US, Africa and Asia too. As ever, it was such hard work for our judging panel to try and pick the winners, but if you turn to page 46 you will see who made it. Huge congratulations to everyone who took part — you are heroes in our eyes. And you, our readers, are so going to enjoy looking at all the wedding magic they created. Continuing our series where we look at floral artistry and the skills involved in that, we are delighted to be shining the spotlight on Sophie Powell of U.FL.O in this issue. Her headpieces are a talking point the world over but she of course creates other beautiful designs too. You can find a delicious taster of her work on page 14. There are tutorials a plenty and I know you will have lots of fun trying your hand at creating many of them. With the warmer weather finally here, socialising will be very much on the agenda so what could be nicer than wowing your guests with a stunning design or two… In our business section, we continue on the topic of upselling (page 60) and also look at how tribute flowers — so integral to any flower business — can offer so many rewards (page 54). And last but not least, our Spring Tablescape winner, Rhian Rees of Wild and Fabulous Flowers, gives us an insight into her floral world and the many lovely designs she and her team create (page 24). So… what are you waiting for… grab a cuppa, put your feet up and enjoy! And have a happy, happy summer. Nina Tucknott, Editor

5 star magazine

I have been subscribing to this re vamped version of Flora since it re launched in April 2019 and I can't recommend it enough. Each issue in my opinion gets better and better. I love the step by step designs and articles on interiors, gardens and cut flowers. Its visually always very pleasing too. Reviewed 12 August 2020
