Custom Car  |  June 2024
Refined, gold-lined and designs that boggle the mind. Yes, we are talking about the latest instalment of Custom Car! The June issue has landed, so let’s pull back the curtain for a peek at what’s inside…
We bid a fond farewell to the Burnout Queen herself Sylvia Hauser. After her first race in 1973 she spent the next 13 years making her mark on the drag racing scene and was the first person (note person not woman) in the UK to take all 5 national titles in one year. She did this three times. Amazing lady, RIP.
From a not-so-mellow yellow abandonment case to the sunset orange stunner that can be found on page 8, local butcher Andy Crump shows that it’s not always what you know, but rather who you know. And, thankfully, Andy knew Gary Gunn of the renowned Loaded Gunn Racing was the man for this job!
We have some California gold to showcase for you in the form of Dana Hinkle’s ’32 Ford pick-up ‘Gold Rush’. This eBay find, inspired by years spent reading Custom Car as a kid, is honestly one of the most beautiful pick-ups to ever grace the pages of an issue… heart eyes all round.
Have ever thought about what a modern-day reimagining of a Jensen Interceptor might look like? What it might drive like? Well, guesstimations move aside. Brook Anderson and the team at Valley Gas Speed Shop have gone ahead, done it and done it well! Find the ‘smooth, slippery and stylish’ Viperceptor slithering between the pages of this month’s issue.
With articles from every corner of the custom car scene, the latest competition updates and more customisation inspiration than you could use on a whole fleet of cars, the June issue is here and not to be missed!
