Canadian Yachting  |  June 2017
IN THE JUNE 2017 CANADIAN YACHTING – The theme is that “Summer is here – let’s go boating!”
For day boating and cruising, the story by Glen Cairns about “Staying Connected – Internet Onboard” is a useful guide to the world of information and entertainment that the Internet can bring to your boat. We have another sidebar story about iPad Navigating by Owen Hurst as well. The main idea is to be able to cruise longer and relax more when you can access or manage important things from the boat.
The June issue of Canadian Yachting has the third of the special three-part technical series on Trailering by the CPS-ECP’s John Gullick. We know lots of readers will be towing a boat this summer. Do it safely and without inconvenience.
Continuing the technical side of things, Kate Fincham takes us through the Markdale, Ontario boat-building facilities that owner Scott Hanson has developed as the home for building his Canadian-made Rossiter Boats. It’s a great success story that just keeps getting better.
From the west coast, Bob Nicoll shares his experience sailing in the Southern Straits race while Katherine Stone chronicles the Sidney North Saanich Yacht Club for the readers.
And the powerboat fans will enjoy the affordable but full-featured, Leader 33 express cruiser while sailors can dream about the elegant and spacious Jeanneau 51.
All this and more in the June 2017 Canadian Yachting magazine. Happy cruising!
