Toy Soldier & Model Figure  |  Issue 218
In issue 218 of Toy Soldier & Model Figure magazine, Steve Rhea gets the ball rolling by detailing how he collects miniature mounted men in tribute to his Uncle Dennis Bell’s service in the U.S. Army’s 8th Cavalry Regiment. Collector Keith Nairn-Munro has created vignettes inspired by the role played by the British 17th Lancers in the Anglo-Zulu War of 1879. An article titled “A Picture (Frame) Is Worth 1,000 Words” is packed with very useful tips shared by retired U.S. Army Col. Walter C. “Stan” Stanton. He outlines simple but effective ways to transform picture frames into bases for eye-catching toy figure displays. In “ACW Engines of War,” The Toy Soldier Museum’s James H. Hillestad researches the role of railways during the War Between the States. As usual, there’s lots more in store in this edition, so please start turning the pages, enjoy and, as always, happy collecting!
