Porsche's new 991 carries the weight of the Stuttgart manufacturer's expectation in endurance racing in 2013, and we are taken on a guided tour of the new GTE car by Porsche's head of motorsport, Hartmut Kristen. We also look at future fuel technology, with Aston Martin racing the hydrogen hybrid at the Nurburgring 24 hours, and Audi investing in sustainable fuel technology. The Lexus LFA featured is largely based on Toyota's stillborn GTE programme, while Sauber considers its current car, the C32. Meanwhile, Pirelli's F1 debacle, and new GP2 rubber, puts the company firmly in the spotlight.
