TOURER OF THE YEAR 2017
The Compass Brand looks set for revival in the 2017 season, with parent firm The Explorer Group deciding to revamp the portfolio with a trio of new ranges and a clutch of fresh models and layouts. And by far the most exciting of these is the six hundred and sixty, the flagship of the top-spec
Camino range that replaces the outgoing Rallye for 2017. If the floorplan looks familiar, with its transverse rear island bed and centre washroom, that’s because it takes its inspiration from last year’s Tourer of the Year winner, the Lunar Delta RI. Just as we predicted, that layout is now a feature across all of the major British brands’ ranges, but in the Camino 660 (and its Elddis Crusader Zephyr twin) Explorer hasn’t created a carbon copy, but has in the opinion of our judging panel, made some
significant improvements to make this just about the perfect luxury caravan for a couple.
