Motorcycle Mojo  |  June 2020
We feature two outstanding motorcycles in this issue. First up is the BMW F900XR. With handling like a sport touring bike and an upright seating position, this bike falls into a genre that BMW calls adventure sports.
Next up is Yamaha’s all-new MT-03, a bike created by stripping the race-proven YZF-R3 of its bodywork to create a naked bike that fits nicely into the rest of Yamaha’s MT lineup.
I’m sure you’ve heard of the Tail of the Dragon, but did you know that there are many roads in the Appalachian and Great Smoky Mountains that are named after serpents? This issue’s travel feature covers quite a few of these mountain roads, which offer hundreds of curves within very short distances.
John Britten died 25 years ago. Alan Cathcart knew Britten personally and gives us an insight into the motorcycle designer: how his mind worked and his avant-garde creations.
The Fundy Adventure Rally was a staple in the dual-sport ride’s summer schedule. The rally, held in New Brunswick in Canada’s Maritime region, attracted riders from as far away as Ontario and the northeastern US. Emily Roberts experienced first-hand the tight-knit camaraderie of dual-sport riders and became intimate with the many water holes that New Brunswick seems to have.
This is just a sampling of what you’ll find in the June issue of Motorcycle Mojo.
