Custom Car  |  June 2023
The show season is finally here – and the new issue of Custom Car includes Mike Pye’s report from the Springspeed Nationals at Santa Pod and the feast of cars Dave Biggadyke found on display at Wheels Day 2023.
There’s more events besides, of course, as well as some very different feature cars. Graham Solomon’s realised a lifetime’s dream when his Ford Pop hit the road – and so did Kris Henderson, when he finally managed to break the 200mph barrier in his Mk1 Jag.
There’s a real rarity in this issue, too, in the shape of a bagged ’33 Hupmobile. Shot on the streets of LA, it’s been done in the classic gangster style of the era – not your everyday hot rod, but a very cool candidate for this month’s front cover.
