Applied Arts  |  July/August 2015 - Design Awards Annual
Applied Arts is thrilled to welcome back a guest art director for the Design Awards annual. The team behind Toronto-based design studio Jacknife has produced more than 40 pages of editorial design and provided some content, all related to the issue's theme of workplace distraction and its effect on creativity.
The experience of reading this issue is not unlike the experience a user faces navigating the many distractions on the Internet. Selfies, games, trivia and clickbait-style headlines proliferate the editorial content, challenging what it means to have unfettered access to matters of true importance. More than 100 pages of inspiring work by the 2015 Design Awards winners, selected by a panel of senior-level creative professionals, round out the issue.
