Custom Car

July 2024 This month we go proper old-school, get real lowdown and carry on regardless… July brings us another feature-filled issue of Custom Car Magazine with all of the latest race updates and tales from the strip we’ve been waiting for. The power of social media has been proven once again as, thankfully for Nick Barnett, it was on his side the day his ’32 roadster was stolen from his driveway. Facebook came up trumps with a quick message from a user saying the car had been found abandoned a few streets away. Not even being blocked in by another vehicle kept thieves from taking Nick’s car… Let this be a wake-up call to us all! We visit Mike Zschorn and the custom Anglia he has owned for no less than the last 50 years. Few of us can lay claim to owning a vehicle for anything like that long – nor indeed to only having had one modified car in our lifetime. Read how, what was his daily driver, reaped the benefits of some staff discount at Lotus Cars and went on to have several rounds of customisation to become the stunner featured from page 10. Santa Pod’s Festival of Power finally got underway after being postponed thanks to persistent rainfall which left the site’s carparks waterlogged way into spring. Sadly, the event was abandoned altogether just after midday as, yes you guessed it, more torrential rain fell. You can still check out the results and photos from the races that did go ahead while they could in this month’s issue however. The rods, mods and the customisation gods never stop and so neither does Custom Car Magazine. The July issue is out now and brings its readers all of the latest articles, news and events information.
