THRASH TESTS.
32 KYOSHO OPTIMA
The Kyosho Optima is a 1986 classic, but things have
certainly moved on a lot in 30 years so it’s nice to see
the re-release has been updated for modern technology
without detracting from the original.
56 SCHUMACHER MI6
As usual Schumacher has upped their game with the new
Mi6 incorporating some new ideas and designs into the
chassis that they hope will retain the BRCA National title
as well as targeting the biggest international races.
64 RC4WD 1:18 GELANDE II
Smaller scale off-road models are a small market, but
RC4WD are about to change all that with their latest
1:18-scale release using their popular Gelande II as
inspiration.
80 TEAM DURANGO DEX210F
Using a transmission layout that has proven itself in the
DEX410 platform, the latest Team Durango 2WD places the
motor centrally in the car than previous models complete with a shaft-drive set-up.

FEATURES
YOUR INSIGHT INTO THE BEST OF RC CARS,
PEOPLE AND TECHNIQUES.
14 SLOVAKIA - THE SEQUEL
The Hudy Racing Arena in Slovakia once again hosted the
European Championships and it was very much a case of
déjà vu as Alexander Hagberg and Hupo Hönigl took their
third titles in the modified and stock respectively.
22 THE VINTAGE COLLECTION
James Instone runs through his vintage collection of RC
equipment, his inspiration and how he managed to source
some of those difficult to find components.
26 FIRST BLOOD TO GRAINGER
Team Associated’s Chris Grainger took the bragging rights
after winning the first round of the BRCA TC National
Championships at Cotswold, defeating the pre-race
favourite Olly Jefferies on his home track.
44 PULL AND GO
This month’s LRP column sees Jurgen Lautenbach
introduce their new pull-start nitro engines whilst the
race team heads to Italy and the ETS, and the first outdoor
race of the season.
