Bass Player UK Magazine Mar-16 Back Issue

At the time of writing it's unclear if this issue of BGM will appear a day or two before or after the London Bass Guitar Show on 12 and 13 March. Maybe it’s still a couple of days away and you’re anticipating the imminent arrival of Robert Trujillo, Dave Swift, Suzi Quatro and Federico Malaman to the Olympia stage. Perhaps the LBGS has been and gone and you’re savouring the memory of Rhino Edwards, Adam Ben-Ezra, Freekbass, Peter Hook and Michael Manring blowing bassists’ minds. Or possibly you’re reading this at the show, in which case, do consider buying me a beer…
While we’re waiting in suspense for the biggest bass event on the planet to roll around, we’ve prepared a killer issue of essential interviews, reviews and tuition for you. Nick Beggs, one of the most scintillating bass players anywhere in the world, appears with a politically combative album that will challenge your perceptions. Then there’s a special feature devoted to Sex Pistol Glen Matlock in the 40th year since punk rock came gobbing out of our TVs; interviews with stars of rock, metal and musicals; and road-tests of everything from a £600 bass head to a £3,500 bass that looks like a massive piece of Swiss cheese. Really. Dive in and we’ll see you in April, when we hit the spring running with a celebration of one of the greatest bass players ever. Clue: freak out!

Really interesting

Lots of interesting articles Reviewed 25 April 2022

Bass Player UK

I'm writing from Colombia. I really enjoy the magazine. Thanks guys. Reviewed 20 December 2020

Always a good read

Really entertaining view of guitar Reviewed 11 July 2019

Preferred the old reader

Although the new version has a few extra goodies like a side menu with all articles and a nicer layout, the zoom isn't as good as the old reader. With my phone horizontal the maximum zoom still has tiny lettering. It would be no good to someone who is short sighted. Reviewed 24 November 2012
