This month features special's about:

- LIMA 2015, Langkawi
From 17-21 March 2015 the 13th edition of LIMA, the Langkawi
International Maritime & Aerospace Exhibition, took place at the
tropical island of Langkawi in the upper north of Malaysia. The
show, which is getting bigger and bigger every year, consists of
a trade-exposition in a purpose-built facility at the Langkawi
airport, a static display and aerial demonstrations at the civil
Langkawi airport as well as naval demonstrations and a large
number of navy ships that are anchored off the Langkawi coast.

- Big Stick deploys
In the last week of March the aircraft carrier USS Theodore
Roosevelt (CVN-71) paid a visit to the UK. It had not been
seen in Europe for a long time, as on 29 August 2013 the ‘TR’
returned to Norfolk Naval Station (VA) completing its postoverhaul
sea-trials that concluded its four-year mid-life overhaul.
This will probably be the last time the aircraft carrier
will be around in Europe for the foreseeable future, as it will
be transferred to the Pacific Fleet.

- RAF Chinook fleet rundown
With reference to last month’s news in which it was mentioned
that the last operational Chinook HC2 flight was conducted
at RAF Odiham, we would like to present a RAF Chinook fleet rundown.

- Frisian Flag 2015
Under perfect weather conditions, the 2015 edition of exercise
Frisian Flag, the largest exercise of its kind in Europe,
was held at Leeuwarden air base, The Netherlands, from 13
until 24 April. Like the 2014 edition, Frisian Flag was again
supported by the EART (European Air Refueling Training)
exercise held at Eindhoven air base in the same period.
