Arthritis Digest  |  2015 Issue 2
It used to be believed that tomatoes, aubergines and goji berries – could make arthritis symptoms worse but this was then dispelled as a myth. Many people with arthritis claim that these foods do have an impact – but no research has been done in the area. At Arthritis Digest we hope that highlighting this gap in the scientific evidence may prompt future research into what could make a fundamental difference to flare-ups and joint pain.
Elsewhere, we discover how tai chi may help people with arthritis and fibromyalgia. Meeting the fabulous Nerys Hughes, whose knee op has been a life-changing success, was a real treat. Pilates expert, Jamie Isaac, outlines three exercises exclusively for our readers… and for those looking to alleviate joint pain for a precious few minutes, we’ve sourced some floatation centres where you can try it out. Enjoy!
