Dolls House and Miniature Scene  |  June 2015 (Iss 253)
Inspired by your requests for what you want to see in the magazine, and by the numerous conversations I had at Spring Miniatura, this month sees the start of a brand new series; The Quarter Master, a monthly article on a growing trend detailing quarter scale miniatures. Written by Moi Ali, her first piece provides a background to the tiny world of wonders and details the plus points and the drawbacks (of which the plus points certainly outnumber the drawbacks).
Looking ahead to the rest of the series Moi will observe all aspects of quarter scale, talking to artisans, visiting collectors and special commissions. This month’s introduction is rounded off with a quarter scale kit review, so if quarter scale is your thing, make sure you don’t miss an issue.
Keeping in sync with quarter scale and following on from his feature on
the small township of Auchindrain in Argyle, Peter Kelsall has created
Bell a P’huill’s house.
And back by popular demand are the collectable cut outs on page 77. Suitable for 1/12th houses, we’ve selected two very different floor coverings which we hope you’ll enjoy.
