In our Used Car of the Year 2015 special issue, we name all the important cars that you should spend your cash on in eight distinct categories, as well as naming our favourite used car of 2015. If you’re planning on buying a second hand motor this year, you really can’t miss this bumper issue. We’ve also been testing one of the biggest cars of 2015, the Land Rover Discovery Sport, driven the facelifted Audi A1 and tested the new Euro 6 Citroën DS4 BlueHDi 120.

BMW’s first front-wheel motor, the 2 Series Active Tourer faces the Volkswagen Golf SV, while Audi’s brand-new TT meets an old adversary, the Peugeot RCZ. Which one grabs class honours this time around? You may be surprised! We’ve also driven the facelifted Volkswagen Jetta, the upgraded Mitsubishi Shogun, Vauxhall Zafira Tourer 1.6 CDTi 16v and the Kia Optima, as well as getting behind the wheel of the striking new Lexus NX 300h, the Mercedes-Benz E 300 BlueTec Hybrid, and driven the facelifted Peugeot 508 RXH HYbrid4 in Eco Car.

In our used car section, we ask whether you really can believe the stamps in the service book of the car you’re buying and deliver a comprehensive used car buyer’s guide on the Peugeot RCZ 2.0 HDi. There’s all the favourites, too, including the News, Doctor Diesel, The Extra Mile, Marketplace, High Mile Club and a new feature called Tuning News, as well as the most up-to-date data section in the business, listing every diesel and alternatively fuelled car, and sub-100g/km petrol vehicle in the business.

diesel, green cars, electric mag

The UK’s leading magazine for diesel, green cars, electric, hybrids and alternative fuelled vehicles, full of advice on tech, mechanics, future plans. great photos inspiring reviews Reviewed 21 August 2022

I like the way it has evolved over the years

I have been buying it in print and online since the early 2000s and I like that it always has focused on the economy end of motoring, or us cheapskates if you like. It has moved to covering hybrids and electric cars which is good, and hasn't forgotten its roots - diesels.

It's a friendly, down to early mag and Doctor Diesel is still the best bit.
